The Inclusive Recreos project of the Rafa Can Foundation closes successfully its third edition (18/06/2018)

The Councilor for Education and Volunteering Catalina Pérez highlighted today the work developed from the Rafa Can Foundation and especially through the Inclusion Project in the Recreation Area (PIAR) during the closing of the course of this activity that aims to promote social skills Healthy and peer collaboration during recess time in schools.

In a ceremony held at the CBM "Joaquín Carrión", of San Javier, the president of the Rafael Can Foundation, Rafael Moreno today thanked the involvement of the City Council and the volunteers of the Banco del Tiempo, as well as the University of Murcia, and the la Caixa Foundation in the Project that this year has been developed in the CEIP "Ntra. Sra. de Loreto", of Santiago de la Ribera;

"Los Antonlinos" and "Maspalomas", from San Pedro del Pinatar;

"Joaquín Carrión", from San Javier and "Hernández Ardieta", from Roldán, Torre Pacheco.

The inclusive recreation project, which began as a pilot project in 2016 at the "Joaquín Carrión" school, uses collaborative motor play as a methodology through strategies that facilitate the voluntary participation of students in dynamics and games designed to eliminate possible physical, psychological barriers , social, sensory and cognitive.

Among the innovations introduced this year in the Project highlights the effort to encourage the practice of physical activity in recreations through motor play, and work with the centers to provide them with resources that can give continuity to this activity alone marked inclusive character, explained the professor of the Faculty of Sports Sciences that has directed the Project in this edition, Olga Rodríguez.

The farewell of the course was attended by volunteers working on the Project in an event that was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Arturo Díaz, who guaranteed the Faculty's support to this project promoted by the Fundación Rafa Can, as well as the coordinator of the same, Bea Hernández.

The Councilor for Education and Volunteering of San Javier, Catalina Pérez and the new area chief of La Caixa, also attended, who expressed their satisfaction for collaborating economically with a project "that deals with childhood and inclusion, included among the cooperation objectives of the la Caixa Foundation ".
