Jazz San Javier disembarks in La Manga del Mar Menor with Tricia Evy, one of the new and most outstanding voices of the international jazz scene (25/07/2018)

Jazz San Javier returns to the street, in this case to Puerto Tomás Maestre, from La Manga del Mar Menor with the concert by Tricia Evy, one of the new and outstanding voices of the current jazz scene.

Born on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe and settled in Paris since 2006, Tricia Evy has recently released her last and third album "Usawa" in which she has sought a balance between her two sources of musical inspiration, jazz and biguine, traditional music of the French Antilles.

His repertoire is composed of original compositions, jazz standards and folklore pieces from the Caribbean island where he spent his childhood, a sound that feels like his own when it comes to express himself musically and that brings the vocal sensuality that characterizes this young singer, whose passion for jazz woke up with artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Louis Amstrong or Stan Getz, among others.

Her new album "Usawa", which was preceded by "Beginning" in 2010 and "Meet Me" in 2013, consolidates her as one of the most requested European jazz singers as evidenced by her presence in the main jazz festivals around the world.

In Jazz San Javier will act accompanied by his quintet of excellent musicians composed of piano, double bass, drums and guitar, which will be joined by the prestigious trumpeter and American singer Ronald Baker, who returns to the Festival of San Javier where he has already given account of his virtuosity as a musician and his exquisite sensitivity as a singer.
