The Plenary Session of the City Council of San Javier unanimously approved today the project of collaboration agreement between the General Directorate of Roads of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure and the City of San Javier for the execution of urban adaptation works, improvement of the accessibility and road safety in the road of Sucina (RM-301) whose budget base bid amounts to € 1,109,163.60 financed by the Autonomous Community by 59 percent and the City of San Javier by 42 percent.
The draft Convention was approved in urgent matters "so that the Autonomous Community can proceed to tender the works as soon as possible" explained the mayor, José Miguel Luengo who explained that the works, which affect one of the main accesses to San Javier from the AP7 to the urban area, include a rainwater collector that will prevent the flooding that occurs in the area in episodes of heavy rain.
The total of the contributions of the Autonomous Community in the two planned annuities (2018-2019) will be € 643,314.89, while the City of San Javier will amount € 465,848.71.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo explained that the road, belonging to the Roads Network of the Autonomous Community, will be ceded to the City of San Javier, once the works are completed "which will imply a significant improvement in road safety, as well as urban and aesthetic in one of the main accesses to San Javier "which coincides with the cemetery of the municipality and the address of the regional Hospital Los Arcos del Mar Menor.
The project of action in the zone includes the maintenance of the existing pines with the exception of those that are not healthy and can constitute some type of danger, explained the mayor.
New Plan for the Prevention of Occupational Risks and its management approved
The plenary session held today approved, also unanimously, a new Plan for the Prevention of Occupational Risks of the City of San Javier and the management system that develops it, maintaining the modality of Own Prevention Service.
The Plan approved today replaces the previous one in force for 16 years, adapting to current regulations and techniques, explained the councilor of the area, María Dolores Ruiz, who recalled that the Plan, backed by the Municipal Health and Safety Committee, is of application to all the services and activities of the City Council.
Once approved, the Plan will be submitted to public information for thirty days, and it will be definitively approved if no claims or suggestions about the new text are made within that period.
Dismissed request of an official for a second job in the private sector
Finally, the August plenary, which was one week ahead of the usual date of celebration, unanimously agreed to dismiss the request for compatibility for the development of a second job in the private sector, in the field of education, to an official of career to overcome the specific complement of the applicant, in more than 30 percent, the amount of their basic compensation, excluding the concept of seniority.
