Summary agreements adopted by the plenary session held today, Thursday, October 11 (11/10/2018)

The Plenary Session of the City Council of San Javier held today has unanimously approved all political groups to deny final approval of the Detailed Study of plot 94 located in the polygon A, in Veneziola, La Manga del Mar Menor promoted by Martina Vela Beach, SL "for not considering compatible the use of restoration that was intended".

The proposal to the Plenary for the denial of the Detailed Study whose purpose was to reopen a restaurant on a plot of residential use, closed by decree in 2015, is supported by a report from the Legal Council of the Region of Murcia.

This report was requested in the processing of the file before the contradictory reports of the urban services and the Municipal Secretariat on the interpretation of the Municipal Subsidiary Rules about the possible uses of the mentioned plot, and at the suggestion of an external consultancy that also it was pronounced favorable to the denial of the approval of the Detail Study.

Unanimous support for the presence of San Javier taxi drivers at the Corvera airport

The Plenary also approved, unanimously, a motion by the Popular group to support taxi drivers in San Javier in which the Government of the Region is asked to create a joint service area for taxi services at the Corvera airport, or an equivalent legal figure where the taxi licenses of San Javier that currently operate at the San Javier airport are integrated.

The agreement includes the development of a regulation that establishes the quota of operational licenses, taking into account those operating in the current airport.

The motion is also addressed to the Government of Spain with a request to amend the national regulation of land transport management to introduce a greater proportionality and eliminate the veto capacity of large population municipalities, which gives an excessive preponderance to the total of the population.

The Plenary asks for a Regional School Transportation Plan that includes high school and vocational students

There was also unanimity in the approval of a motion of the Socialist group to urge the Governing Council to study and take into consideration a Regional School Transportation Plan that includes as beneficiaries of this service students of non-compulsory education, especially baccalaureate and vocational training , in order to avoid the current situation experienced by these students, who can only use the transport service if there are available places.

The Plenary approves a motion so that government the most voted list in the Town halls

The Popular group moved forward a motion in which it defends that it governs the most voted list, "to guarantee that the popular will is not altered or revoked by post-electoral pacts" adding its support to the reform of the Organic Law of the Regime General Electoral promoted by the Popular Party.

The agreement, which went ahead with the Mayor's vote of quality, after a draw for and against, for the abstention of the non-attached councilor, asks the political groups of the Congress to start a debate so that this reform materializes with the greatest possible support.

The proposal includes the second round, if no force obtains more than 30% of the votes, to which the candidatures that could have reached 15% of the votes cast could concur.

The Plenary asks for a register to give continuity to businesses without succession

The Plenary approved a motion by the Citizens-C's group in which the creation of a register is requested in which business can be registered without succession to seek a replacement in property and / or in the management of said business, in coordination with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Town Councils, the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia, the Local Development Agencies and business organizations and professional associations.

The same motion defends a Plan of Succession of Companies and Generational Relief of the Autonomous Worker, in the Region of Murcia, so that those who are close to retirement may give the witness to new entrepreneurs, as a measure of support for the survival of the small and medium commerce.

The motion was approved with the favorable vote of all the groups and the abstention of the Popular group to consider that the Region of Murcia has already launched measures with success in this regard, as explained the mayor of Commerce, Antonio Martinez.
