Caliche Group inaugurates new headquarters in San Javier that will boost its international activity (23/11/2018)

The company, present in more than 100 countries, has moved more than 2 million tons this year

Grupo Caliche has inaugurated its new headquarters, located in San Javier.

The offices occupy more than 3,500 square meters of surface divided into three floors and a basement.

They are articulated around a central patio in which the figure of the founder is present and in which two structures in the form of a tree serve as a link between all the spaces.

The building is on a plot of 11,000 square meters in which there are common areas, gardens, training rooms, outdoor work spaces and parking.

Between the construction, in his moment, and in the adaptation realized now to incorporate the last advances in energetic efficiency, communication, connectivity and domótica have invested, altogether, more than 8 million euros.

There have been more than 250 employees, who have participated in an opening ceremony, which opens the 50th anniversary of the company, and which has had the presence, among others, of the president of the regional government, Fernando López Miras, of the Minister of Employment, Universities, Business and the Environment, Javier Celdrán, and the mayors of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martínez, Pilar de la Horadada, Ignacio Ramos.

Along with them, there have been David, Jaime and José María Martínez Miralles, top managers of Grupo Caliche.

José María Martínez, CEO, explained that "it is a building created by and for people, which is adapted to our reality." Currently, 53% of Grupo Caliche's employees are women and the average age of the template is 38 years. "

The change of headquarters responds to the growth experienced by the company in recent years and that will allow it to transport 2,250,000 tons by land, sea and air.

In addition, it will boost its international expansion - currently it is present in more than 100 countries - through the expansion of key areas and the creation of new business lines.

In the case of the transport and logistics division, for example, Grupo Caliche has incorporated a business unit aimed at agricultural companies through which it transports fruits and vegetables directly from the field to any part of the world.

In the new facilities, the telecommunications division is also reinforced with new services focused on customer service.

Grupo Caliche is, with the One Telecom brand, the number 1 company in Europe in customer loyalty of Orange and the number 2 in customer acquisition.

Start of the 50th anniversary

The opening ceremony has become the beginning of the activities planned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the company, founded in 1969 by David Martínez Albadalejo.

The planned program will be developed throughout the year 2019 and will include social, educational, cultural and sports activities, as well as actions aimed at reviewing the main milestones reached during these 50 years.
