Ruralmur Crafts Center Awards (Murcia) (28/03/2019)

The city of Murcia hosted the VII Ruralmur Awards 2019, prizes that aim to praise the work of companies, entities and prominent people in the rural, cultural, sports, gastronomic and traditional of the Region of Murcia.

In the categories of Rural Tourism, Crafts and Gastronomy are the users of the web who with their votes, ratings and comments choose the finalists and winners.

This year the prizes of the Tourism category were awarded to the Port Authority of Cartagena, in the Gastronomy category to José María Clares of the La Masía del Jamón restaurant and in the La Cañada Artisanal Sausages category.

The prizes were also awarded to the boxer María del Carmen Romero (Sport), Mariano Hernández, the Mhega Workshop (Honorary Award), Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (Promotion of Murcia), Juan José Navarro Avilés (Divulgation of the heritage), the painter Pedro Cano (Art and Culture), Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the Region of Murcia (Association), the Journal La Opinion of Murcia (Dissemination), Marta Garaulet (Research) and San Javier City Council (Institution).

The winners in previous editions, different authorities and Francisco Abril (General Director of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification) were in charge of delivering the awards this year.

In his turn to speak, the new president of Ruralmur, Antonio Céspedes, reminded everyone of the Association's commitment to the socio-economic progress of the Region of Murcia based on the preservation of its identity and respect for its traditions and cultural heritage.

The GALA, presented by Marienca Fernándezy that took place at the Regional Center of Crafts of Murcia, had the performance of BOSNIO, the new musical project of Óscar Gallego.

Thanks to the sponsors, the Department of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification, the Regional Craft Center of Murcia, Cajamar and the Terra Fecundis Group for always supporting initiatives aimed at the cultural and economic development of the Region of Murcia.

The GALA ended with a Spanish wine and the tasting of exquisite products of Murcia cuisine courtesy of Salzillo Winery, Jamón del Ollero, Patatas Pijo, Embutidos Cañete, Cerveza Artesana Ricote Valley 0 and Alicia Hidalgo, ham slicing teacher.
