GALACTYCO Collective denounces homophobic aggression in a San Javier nightclub and encourages reporting (29/07/2019)

The LGTBI Association "GALACTYCO Collective" denounces and condemns the events that occurred last Saturday at a disco in the town of San Javier.

Through the media we got the news that a couple of boys had been attacked in a nightclub and expelled from it by security personnel, following an argument between the attacked boys, shouting "fucking fucking fag ", they say from GALACTYCO.

According to one of the young people, his partner had to be treated for emergency services and transferred to the hospital, the boy was unconscious and presented several scratches and bruises

The attacked have already filed the corresponding complaint and from GALACTYCO we have shown all our support by putting ourselves at their full disposal for what they may need.

Alberto Alba, president of GALACTYCO remembers that we must always denounce that no aggression can go unanswered.

From GALACTYCO we demand that the club publicly condemn the facts and cease the worker in question.

The sexual orientation or gender identity of any person can never be grounds for exclusion, much less aggression, says Alba.

Mar Tornero, vice president of GALACTYCO, recalls the importance of Law 8/2016, of May 27, on social equality of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexuals, transgender and intersex, and public policies against discrimination based on sexual orientation and Gender identity in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, be put into operation immediately, and that from the institutions effective policies are carried out in the fight against hate crimes.
