Jane Birkin, singer, actress and model, icon of 20th century pop culture, will be in charge of opening the 50th edition of the San Javier International Theater, Music and Dance Festival with a concert in which she will perform a selection of written songs for her by Serge Gainsburg, with whom she formed the coolest couple of the 70s in France.
Together they recorded the famous "Je t'aime moi non plus", which is not included in the concert repertoire, based on his album "Birkin Gainsbourg, le Symphonique", in which he will sing accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, Directed by Virginia Martínez.
The album that has given rise to the tour with which Jane Birkin lands in San Javier reviews 21 titles, "the saddest" of Gainsbourg, which never stopped composing for her after her separation and until her death in 1991. The Japanese composer Nobuyuki Nakajima has been in charge of the orchestration and arrangements of classical music that brings drama to themes of love and heartbreak such as "Jane B", "L'anamour" or "La Javanaise".
With her fragile, unique and sensual voice, Jane Birkin is still 72 years old, and after a long season away from the stage, reliving songs such as "Baby Alone in Babylone" or "Lost song", among others.
