The public consultation on proposals to La Manga continues its tour of the beaches and areas busiest in the area of ​​San Javier (21/08/2016)

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, accompanied this weekend young reporters who are traveling these days the beaches and areas of greatest influx of the municipality of San Javier, within the first phase of the public consultation carried out by the community on the development of La Manga.

Rivera, along the Councillor for Tourism and Beaches, Antonio Marcelo Martinez toured the beach of El Pedrucho to invite residents and vacationers from San Javier to comment on "major projects proposed in the area of ​​La Manga and select the most necessary actions and interesting for its development, in order to decide, together, La Manga we want. Open consultation to all

During the month of August, groups of young reporters visit the beaches of La Manga to collect the opinion of the residents on the various projects that could be developed in this tourist area, under the Strategic Plan for Revitalization of La Manga in you are working with the Ministry of Public Works.

Neighbors can hear the proposals and select the three projects that seem most interesting or necessary for the better development of La Manga.

These include the development of a promenade from the Gola del Estacio to Veneziola;

give continuity to the cycle paths from the port Tomás Maestre until the end of La Manga;

the construction of a marina with a large green area and sports facilities in the Mediterranean Sea;

and increase hotel and catering establishments and leisure (type 'beach club') offer.

The installation of traditional wooden jetties;

the installation of a wooden walkway for pedestrians and bicycles Veneziola connect with the Playa de la Llana;

a visitor center and interpretation of the Ventorrillo Encañizada;

shipping ecological circular connecting the highlights of the Mar Menor, and promote diving activities in Grosa Island, complete the list of projects.

In this participatory and open process, citizens can also deposit their proposals, suggestions and comments for the development of La Manga.

All proposals and suggestions were collected for subsequent classification and development based on the priorities set by citizens.

This consultation also remains active on the website of Citizen Participation of the Autonomous Community (www.carm.es/participacionciudadana), with the same content that is being carried out on the beach during the month of August, to ensure the participation of the entire population in this initiative.
