San Javier will cook the largest egg custard in the world with which he hopes to enter the Guinness of Records (02/12/2016)

The day of the rocks, which is celebrated next Tuesday, December 6, could go down in history if it is possible to elaborate the biggest Egg Flan in the world, with which it is tried to obtain the Guiness record.

A total of 5,000 eggs, 700 liters of milk and 200 kilos of sugar will be necessary for the cooking of the giant egg flan, which will involve about 50 people, and which will serve between 8 and 10 thousand rations.

Councilor Estíbaliz Masegosa today presented the initiative, to be held in public view, in the park of Jabalina Street, near the municipal sports center, with its architect, Juan Antonio Alcaraz, of Paellas Gigantes Mediterráneo, coinciding with the day of Coexistence of the festivals.

Juan Antonio, who has already served 8000 rations of rice in a single paella, explained that the cooking will begin at 08:30 and will take about six hours with a first stage of curdling and another of cooling.

The largest egg flan in the world will be cooked in a water bath on wood with an upper layer of charcoal.

The settling time will be the critical phase, followed by ice cooling, explained Juan Antonio.

The clubs of the parties will volunteer to participate in the preparation of the flan that only to shell out the 5,000 eggs will need more than 40 people.

The councilor, Estíbaliz Masegosa invited the citizens to join this action by participating directly, following the elaboration and after taste.

Juan Antonio Alcaraz and Estíbaliz Masegosa thanked the collaboration of the company Travis that provides the necessary infrastructure to be able to elaborate the giant flan in the most traditional way.
