The exhibition "Art4HumanRighst" will show in San Javier the works of young people from four European institutes (21/04/2017)

The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, the Councilor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa and art teacher, Enrique Veganzones presented today at the San Javier City Hall the exhibition "Art4HumanRights" in which students from the IES "Ruiz de Arte Alda "of San Javier together with students from three other European institutes.

The exhibition, which has counted on the departments of Education, Youth and Culture and which can be seen in the Museum of San Javier from April 27 to May 13, is the result of a project on Human Rights in which students of art Of San Javier have worked for two years together with fellows from Frankfurt (Germany), Birmingham (Great Britain) and Iasi (Romania), thanks to the Erasmus + program of the European Union.

San Javier welcomes the last of the meetings of this project from this weekend so all the young participants will attend the opening of the exhibition on Thursday 27 April.

Professor Enrique Veganzones explained that the project began a reflection on the part of the students on the situation of Human Rights that later developed in artistic projects using a contemporary language.

Veganzones explained that the exhibition hosts a selection of the 19 works carried out under the premise of reaching all types of public, and has a wide catalog that includes teaching material in order to facilitate didactic visits with school children, or general public for a Better understanding of the work and the reflection that generated it.

Enrique Veganzones highlighted the quality of the technical realization of the exhibition, which has already been seen in the rest of participating countries, as well as the catalog of the same, so it is planned to extend his life, with stops in Barcelona and Madrid, Among other points of the Region and Spain.

The project has received the attention of national media such as El País in its digital version and the support of institutions such as Intermón Oxfam and Amnesty International.

The Councilor for Culture David Martinez thanked the director of the project Enrique Veganzones and the students of the High School of Arts "Ruiz de Alda" the "magnificent" work they have done through this project and the opportunity to be able to exhibit in San Javier the Shows "that has counted on the collaboration of the City Council as it could not be otherwise since it contributes to brighten the cultural life of the municipality."
