The mayor of San Javier Jose Miguel Luengo and the councilor of Social Services Estíbaliz Masegosa received today in the City Council the Saharawi children who participate in the program "Holidays in peace" hosted by families of the municipality during the summer.
The mayor wished them a happy stay in San Javier and thanked so much the Association Friends of the Saharawi People of San Javier, with which the City Council collaborates economically through a collaboration agreement, like the cozy families, its work to Throughout the year as well as with this host program during the summer months.
To San Javier have reached six girls between 10 and 11 years of age, of the total of 94 children who will spend the summer in the Region of Murcia.
During their stay the host families integrate them as a member, as well as providing them with a medical examination.
During their summer stay outside the desert, children avoid the high temperatures of the Sahara, enrich their diet, undergo medical check-ups, and learn Spanish.
