Inauguration of the new stadium turf Pitín (20/10/2010)

The E Plan funded with 63 million new sports facilities in the Region

The secretary general of the Government Delegation in Murcia, Juan José Camarasa, and the Mayor of San Javier, Josefa García Hernández, inaugurated this evening the new artificial turf football stadium municipal "Pitín."

The works have been carried out with funding from the E Plan 2010 and involves an investment of 430,000 euros.

During the making of them, have created 22 new jobs.

Camarasa explained that the works have included the replacement of the previous pitch by a new artificial turf sports floor.

The field dimensions are 105 meters long and 68 meters wide.

The new turf football game allows 11 and two cross-sectional areas for football 7.

He also reported that the networks have been replaced irrigation and drainage, has placed a curb on the perimeter and replaced the existing goals.

Moreover, the general secretary stated that the City of San Javier are receiving state funding in 2009 and 2010 a total of 8,476,032 euros is earmarked to finance 26 construction projects with which it is intended to create a total of 608 jobs.

She also pointed out that municipalities in the region have received more than 336 million euros from 400 million were allocated from state funds.

The projects developed with this funding have created 19,762 direct jobs.

Specifically, the Government of Spain and has recovered one hundred percent of the 17 projects from the State Fund, 2009 assigned to the City of San Javier and 85 percent of 4 of the 9 projects submitted in 2010.

EUR 63 million in sports facilities financed by the Plan E

The secretary general of the Government Delegation recalled that the Plan E has funded 4 projects sports in the municipality of San Javier in an amount exceeding the 1.4 million euros.

In addition it has now opened, has also built a sports hall in El Mirador, a sports court and two paddle tennis in La Manga and various improvements in the Polideportivo Municipal.

In this sense, Camarasa explained that the State Funds, 2009 and 2010 are financing 208 projects to improve sporting facilities in the Region of Murcia which involves an investment of 63,275,733 euros and generated 3,692 direct jobs.

The projects have been submitted by 35 of the municipalities of the Community.

Finally, the secretary general has stood out among the projects, by their volume of investment, construction of new sports halls Murcia (The Cagigal, 2.8 million euros), Cieza (2.5 million euros), the pool heated Lorca (2.2 million euros), Cartagena Sports Center (The Aljorra, 1.7 million euros) and the aforementioned new Sports Sewer (Campoamor, 1.4 million euros).

He also explained that it has installed 33 artificial turf pitches in the region.

36 tracks have been built tennis and paddle courts, 3 new pools and remodeled 6.
