"The Mayor rejected the consensus for the celebration of 175 anniversary of San Javier", according to independent (15/12/2010)

The Partido Independiente de San Javier, wants to show their outrage over the serious political and democratic disorder being experienced by the City of San Javier, and show their rejection of the submission to which they are bound in a systematic and permanent council members opposition to the criteria of a Mayor Pepa Garcia, outdated and feudal mentality that skipping all standards and sense of democratic respect of their performances, impedes the filing of motions of the Opposition Groups and any criticism of government action it represents.

In the regular full day 14, the Independent Municipal Group presented in turn and with the regulations for a Motion, correlative to the project that the government has launched to celebrate the 175 anniversary of the Constitution and the municipality of San Javier.

Introducing the motion, to request all the training necessary political consensus to make this important date, a draft Participation of all and not an excuse for their use in a perverse way, one-sided government propaganda purposes.

We requested also in the same motion, creating the figure of a Commissioner General, to coordinate a Commission composed of politicians and citizens with the assistance of municipal technicians, to develop a large project as this town deserves.

Furthermore, the date of the Constitution as City Hall is the 16th of September 2011 and in May because of the municipal election year, how to ensure commitment and involvement of all political forces throughout the year is to achieve consensus prior to the acts and celebrations are planned, since it corresponds to another Starring Corporation.

Meanwhile, in the months leading the Commission to ask, you should work with citizens to make guarantees, some actions commensurate with the importance of the event and the town of San Javier.

Far from that, the Socialist Mayor explosive refused flatly to even consider presenting it to the House, and without taking into account either the object or effect of the motion, Pepa García attacked so wildly out of place and in an undemocratic attitude and sultry, prevented both the debate as a possible vote for approval, demonstrating once again that is only interested in a personal role in decline, impoverishment and unbecoming of any politician in a state of law and democratic , no matter at all Municipal or institution or society, wanting to impose its position even over the objections of the majority of the Board, and Municipal Secretary-General himself forced to remain silent, allowing no input from the two opposition groups.

Given the position of the socialist government of tension and denial by the Mayor, the debate on the motion, we understand from this group Pepa Garcia and his team are giving this project a partisan use and used as vehicles for advertising disproportionate and inappropriate for a democratic government not transparent and respectful of all opposition groups and the citizenry and at the end of your term you want in any way at any price, made an advertising campaign across the City as evidenced by the fact who are having the celebration of the Constitution of our City Council alone and apart from the rest of the Municipal Groups

Primarily described, we propose that with the utmost urgency is made an extraordinary plenary session to organize the actions of the 175 th anniversary of the Constitution of our City, to end situations of abuse of power by a minority government and not continue to have and use the mechanisms that the local administration offered in your favor, as an advertising tool use only, paid or subsidized by public funds.
