The departments of Education and Human Services convened today to directors and representatives of schools of the municipality to an informational meeting to address the issue of neglect and truancy, facing the imminent creation of the City Commission of Prevention, Monitoring Truancy and Control, from which you will work on prevention, intervention and eradication of dropout in the municipality.
The secretary of the Regional Committee on Dropout, Rocio Quintero Lineros attended the meeting, which also included the councilors of Education, Catalina Perez, and Social Services, Francisca Naranjo and technicians from both councils, to report on the details and solve practical issues regarding the Regional Plan for Prevention, Monitoring and Control of Absenteeism and Dropout, which includes the creation of commissions in municipalities.
The Councillor for Education, Catalina Perez stressed the importance of a commission to work on prevention, and in the early stages of the problem once detected by the center, and jointly contribute to alleviate this problem of dropout as noted not has a large impact on the town "but a single case justify the effort."
The Municipal Commission for Prevention, Monitoring and Control of absenteeism and drop inspectors will consist nursery, primary and secondary school, secretary of the Regional Committee, Rocío Lineros, the councilors of Education and Social Services of San Javier, technicians both departments, principals of the 10 schools in the municipality, as well as technical guidance counselors and teachers serving the community center.
