Javier San Javier Lorente explained in his presentation "The Four Elements" (15/12/2008)

The sea, land, air, and fire have focused the attention of painter Javier Lorente that during these days, and until January 4, exhibits in the museum town of San Javier a score of works which have been grouped under the title "The Four Elements."

Medium-format works are realistic visions of the origin of matter and the end of all things, says the artist in reference to a subject that has been stripped of human figures, and the urban landscape, which populate his work .

Javier Lorente who inaugurated the exhibition accompanied by the mayor of San Javier, Pepa García, his friends and students, acknowledged that this exhibition has been called "a parenthesis in what I do normally to get to these four elements that constitute the Greeks said eating the basis of creation and the final summary of everything. "

To get to that principle, Lorente, love of painting natural, has looked up the area, a water of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean.

It has come to Salinas, and rocks from the mines of La Union.

Elements in a hyper foreground are the absolute protagonists of this exhibition, which is a step in the extensive and comprehensive work of Javier Lorente.

Javier Lorente combines artistic creativity as a painter, photographer, and poster with teaching as a professor of painting since 1987.

He was also responsible for recovery and restoration of wall paintings of the eighteenth century parish church of San Fulgencio, in Pozo Estrecho.

From the 13 years he has made more than one hundred solo and group exhibitions.
