2009 State Fund invests 30.8 million euros to improve sports facilities in the region
The Secretary of State for Sport, Jaime Lissavetzky, the government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar and the Mayor of San Javier, Josefa García inaugurated this morning the improvements in the Polideportivo Municipal de San Javier funded entirely by the Government of Spain through the Local Investment Fund.
The work has had a budget of 363,778 euros and has created 83 new jobs and has been the enclosure through metal frame and enclosure panels in roof and facade of two sports courts at the sports center of the town.
The delegate pointed out that San Javier has received from the Government of Spain 5,162,217 euros for 17 projects of the Local Investment Fund that are generating 336 jobs, of which 241 are newly created and 95 persons within the successful tenderers .
González Tovar has also reported that the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability to be invested in 2010, will involve a further economic boost for the city of 3,313,815 euros.
"Overall, has clarified the Government Delegate-San Javier Spain's government receives around 8.5 million euros in two years: the largest investment by any government in such a short time in San Javier and makes clear the Zapatero municipal will. "
More than 30 million euros to improve sports facilities
The Secretary of State has taken stock of the investments of the Government of Spain, through the Local Investment Fund, the improvement of sports facilities in the Region of Murcia.
Specifically, in the region are carrying out 86 projects with an investment of 30,811,419 euros to create 2,129 jobs, of which 1,391 are newly created and 738 of persons within enterprises.
Among the projects cited by the new Sports Hall of Cieza (2,462,971 euros), the new indoor heated pool Lorca (2,037,551 euros), the new Sports Centre in Cartagena Aljorra (1,696,680 euros), the new College Sports Centre in Campoamor Sewer (1,364,160 euros) and improvement works Beniel Sports Complex (1 million euros).
He also stressed that thanks to the State Fund to install artificial turf football fields in 22 municipalities for a total of more than 8.6 million euros.
The Local Investment Fund to date
The Government delegate reported that to date, the Ministry of Planning Policy has been transferred to all municipalities in the region EUR 167,016,741, corresponding to 671 projects have received funding for the 70 percent of the total payment projects.
Also pointed out that 30% is being delivered upon completion of each performance and justify the investment with the Government of Spain.
In this sense, González Tovar explained that since late last June, is beginning to pay the completion of the work of the State Fund in the Region of Murcia.
In particular, already have paid the 81 projects submitted in the Region.
