The sport of power boating has given fans the greatest show of personal watercraft to be held during the year in Spain.
The Circuit European Championship, played over this weekend at the camp Samana San Javier Mar Menor, brought the best drivers and the best bikes on the continent, meeting the espctativas, despite the strong winds prevailing on the last day.
In the top flight, the formula 1 of the jet, French Franky Zapata won first place.
It was the clear favorite before, but in the first round, the meeting on Saturday afternoon, suffered a penalty that forced him out in recent posts.
The race was one of the most exciting that have been in recent years, as the Frenchman managed to overcome a spectacular starring dispute with the first two.
Finally, after the crash that was in second place, Cyrille Lemoine, finished runners sleeve, preceded by the Italian, Angelo Bertozzi.
The final standings after the three races, Franky Zapata occupied the first, the Italian Mattia Fracasso, in second place, and his compatriot Angelo Bertozzi, who won third place.
Of note is the performance of Murcia, Amador Ferrer, who won the sixth place, despite being still recovering from an injury that has hampered its great start to the season.
Amador said he was very pleased with his performance, that its growth is still appropriate and that serves as preparation for the upcoming commitments, the closest the second round of the Championship of Spain to be held in Alicante on 22 and 23 May.
In the top of the jet ski, the F1, the winner was the Frenchman, Jean Baptiste Botti, followed by another Frenchman, Jeremy Poret, and Portuguese, Tiago Sousa.
Jet ski F2 category was won by a Spanish one, the Spaniard, Nacho Armillas, who dominated two of the three races held, giving a clear difference in points with second-placed France, Antony Bourgon.
In this category participated Cartagena, Kevin Moreno, who managed a creditable sixth place, despite having a less powerful bike than their opponents.
Spanish, José Manuel Cruzado, also had an outstanding performance, ranking fourth in the runabout category F2.
The Andalusian was third in two of the three races.
The other categories were contested women's ski F2, dominated by the Portuguese, Setefanía Balzer, junior ski F3, whose end was the Italian champion, Paolo Bertozzi, and specializing in freestyle, which included six participants, the winner being Italian Valerio Calderón.
The first test of Campeonao scoring in Europe, behind which will be held in Portugal and Italy, ended the awards ceremony, attended by the Councillor for Sports of the municipality of San Javier, José Angel Noguera, the President of the Spanish Federation of Powerboating, José Miguel Martínez, the president of the Federation of Motonáutica of Murcia, Dionisio Bath, and the facility manager Bastille beach, Diego Fuentes, who were responsible for presenting the awards to the top three finishers in each category.
