The mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia has announced a new cost-saving measure that the City of San Javier apply from this time and that is the removal of all fireworks and lighting of both parties like Christmas in the municipality, which the government team plans to save a total of 246,000 euros per year.
The measure will affect all parties, of any kind, held in the municipality, as well as Christmas lights, both in San Javier as any of the districts.
The Mayor has indicated that only the Christmas festive lighting and the annual expenditure amounts to 223.174euros.
Pepa García highlighted "the enormous outlay which is the illumination and fireworks, without actually contribute anything of substance in a program of holiday activities, so that this measure allows us to save almost 250,000 euros, will not alter the normal development of our holidays. "
