The CEIP "Fulgencio Ruiz", Santiago de la Ribera held a day of scientific dissemination on the Mar Menor with the collaboration of Juan Sánchez Etxeandía, researcher at the Oceanographic Center of Murcia, and father of a student at the center.
The Conference organized by the AMPA with the collaboration of the school, began with the presentation of the students about works that they have done themselves related to the Mar Menor before knowing the research work that is carried out in the Oceanographic Center by the hand of Juan Sánchez Exteandía who also reproduced the laboratory work for the children, with a series of practical experiments.
The general director of Educational Centers, Remedios Lajara and the Councilor for Education Catalina Pérez, who were invited to the conference, together with the center's director, Julia Samper and the president of the AMPA, Mariano Jiménez, thanked the parents for their involvement. students, and the center itself with results like the one held yesterday.
Juan Sánchez Exteandía explained that the First School Day of Scientific Disclosure of the Mar Menor aims to "explain the research work we do in our center to the students".
"One of our tasks is to transfer to society what is the research work that I do and contribute to raising awareness to avoid contamination of ecosystems and the environment," he added.
