San Javier continues to break down cognitive barriers through the use of pictograms that have now been incorporated into the medical offices of Santiago de la Ribera and El Mirador.
This is the project "Friendly Environments, Understand your city" promoted by Aidemar with the City of San Javier that has already been implemented in the City Hall building and others as the municipal heated pool with which it is intended to contribute to the integration of autistic people or with communication difficulties.
The Councilor for Education and Health, Catalina Pérez and the specialist in hearing and language, Gabriela Lillo, from Aidemar, went to the doctor's offices where, together with the people in charge, the pictograms that identify this service were placed by means of images in order to provide visual support to autistic people with the aim of increasing their autonomy and independence.
The mayor Catalina Pérez reiterated the importance of this project as "an exercise in citizen social responsibility" and announced the continuity of it in the rest of public buildings in the municipality.
Catalina Pérez invited both institutions and private entities to incorporate the pictograms breaking cognitive barriers, adding to this project that they can meet by contacting Aidemar.
