The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo today signed the renewal of the agreement between the City Council and the Agricultural Association of El Mirador, COAG with its president Emilio Alfonso Martínez, which will involve the municipal contribution of a total of 16,500 euros, in an act that He had the presence of Francisco Gil, secretary of organization of COAG Region of Murcia, and the councilor of Agriculture, Sergio Martinez.
Emilio Alfonso Martínez thanked the municipal support that will be allocated to the operation of the office that the agricultural group keeps open in El Mirador and from which it serves more than 400 farmers.
The office, which since last year is the official center to endorse the conditionality for European aid beneficiaries, offers technical and professional training, and counseling, among other functions.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo reiterated municipal support for the agricultural sector of the municipality in the face of problems with water scarcity and stressed "his commitment to technification and environmental values."
Luengo also pointed out "the investment and job-creating nature of the sector in the municipality, which is why it deserves all our institutional support."
