The Department of Health has not wanted to miss the Day of the Celiac, which was held on May 27, and in collaboration with the Association of Celiacs of Murcia, ACMU, has organized a cooking workshop "The gluten-free chef" to be held next Sunday June 3 at the civic center of La Grajuela.
Councilor for Health, Catalina Pérez presented the workshop with the dietitian and nutritionist of the Celiac Association of Murcia, Inmaculada Llopis who recalled that celiac disease is a chronic disease whose only treatment is a gluten-free diet.
Inmaculada Llopis warned of the danger of cross-contamination, when a gluten-free food could come into contact with another that does contain the protein, so she advised, especially in the masses, the homemade preparation of the same to ensure that there is no any contact
For this reason, the Department of Health has already held a bread workshop, and in this case a pastry workshop has been prepared, which will show how to make and handle gluten-free dough, for confectionery, providing more nutritional quality .
Catalina Pérez encouraged anyone affected by this disease in the family to participate in this workshop that also serves as a meeting and exchange with other affected people.
The gluten-free bakery workshop, which will start at 10am, is also open to anyone interested in learning gluten-free baking techniques.
Interested persons must register at 968 69 40 80 and 636 691 619
