The team of professionals of the Center for Specialized Care for Women Victims of Violence, CAVI, of San Javier, has participated as a speaker in the sectorial plan of continuing education for Pediatrics, launched by the Murcian Health Service, with a session dedicated to the gender violence among adolescents given at the Los Arcos hospital.
The presentation, in which Juana Fuentes, Silvia Velázquez and África Escudero participated, was broadcast live by videoconference and followed by primary care and hospital pediatricians from the different health areas, as well as by physicians from other specialties.
The presentation ended with a chat in which attendees could interact.
The CAVI San Javier team, which is a pioneer in the treatment of gender-based violence among young people of early ages, counted on the valuable testimony of two adolescents who shared their experience by directly reporting their experiences on how to build a violent relationship from the phase of falling in love.
The sectorial plan of continuous training for Pediatrics is an initiative of the General Directorates of Healthcare and Human Resources of the SMS that has the support of the Foundation for Health Training and Research of the Region of Murcia.
The sessions, which are broadcast by videoconference once a month, address a wide variety of topics related to different specialties with the aim of standardizing protocols and promoting healthcare quality in regional healthcare.
