The Office of Consumer Information of the City of San Javier has issued a notice warning the population about the abusive practices of a group of commercial energy trading companies, which have already originated several citizen inquiries in the municipal Consumer Service .
From the OMIC of San Javier warns that you should not provide access to the contract, data or last invoice, which apparently see the commercial visitors, as it could be enough to make some kind of unsolicited change.
In the event that the offer is of interest to the user, it is advisable not to sign documents at the time, but an explanatory brochure must be requested for prior study and the signature must be postponed until a cold decision is made.
In case of signing, the user must keep the explanatory brochure as proof of all the terms included in the offer.
In the event that they request a telephone to comment on the details more calmly, it must be taken into account that the conversation will be recorded, so it is advisable to be explicit in the adopted position, particularly if it is negative, so that it is expressly recorded.
From the San Javier Consumer Information Office they advise never to sign anything at the door, but it is advisable to request the documents by mail to return them signed, if we are interested in the offer.
They also insist that any modification, change, improvement or correction of the contract that we have in force must be communicated by mail and never in person.
Finally, they advise that in the case of elderly people alone at home, it would be advisable not to attend this type of visit if they are not accompanied by a family member.
