The CEIP "Joaquín Carrión" of San Javier already has a renewed electrical installation that has allowed, among other things, to provide service to the ceiling fans that have been installed in the classrooms.
During a visit to the center, the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Catalina Pérez and the school's director, Toni García Arias, highlighted "the synergy that has taken place between the AMPA, the Center's management , the Autonomous Community and the City Council whose collaboration has made the works possible ".
The ceiling fans, of which three are installed in each classroom, were provided by the AMPA and the Center itself with a total cost of 5,000 euros, while the Ministry of Education and the City Council took care of its installation and renewing the electrical system, deficient for its age, with an investment of 25,500 euros.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo also verified the total renovation of the metal windows in the building that has involved an investment of 62,814 euros contributed to 50 percent by the City Council and the Ministry of Education.
Luengo also recalled that, among other improvements such as painting, the City Council recently invested 20,000 euros in improving accessibility and mobility in the courtyard and runway area.
The director of the Center, Toni Garcia Arias thanked "the involvement of the City Council with the school, which will soon turn 50, with an important investment since the last four years in various improvements."
The person in charge of the school referred to the renovation of the electrical system that has allowed the start-up of the ceiling fans "with which the acclimatization of the classrooms and the conditions of the students is improved during the class hours".
