The Director General of Women, Alicia Barquero attended yesterday in San Javier to the meeting of the Local Coordination Table on Gender Violence, chaired by the Councilor for Equality, Estibalia Masegosa, to inform its components, which are mostly professionals who directly attend this type of case, about the latest available resources in terms of gender violence.
Alicia Barquero also explained the new resources that have been put in place by the Administration in the area of ​​violence against women, such as the trafficking of women for the purpose of sexual exploitation and in the care of women victims of sexual aggression and abuse.
Barquero stressed the importance of the arrival of summer due to the increase in population outside the municipality, and, in addition to reporting on the new itinerant attention service for children exposed to gender-based violence, he emphasized the need for all the security forces and bodies, as well as health and social care professionals, receive full information about the new resources that are incorporated in the area of ​​gender violence that were addressed at the meeting.
