The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez today highlighted the important work that has been done for years by the library, launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, through the Regional Library, to encourage reading in summer bringing books to the beaches .
David Martínez visited the Bibliobús today in the Barnuevo esplanade, in Santiago de la Ribera, where every Tuesday in July and August, from 10 am to 1 pm, he will offer a wide variety of updated titles of different genres and for all ages.
With a card of any library or an instant card that facilitates the staff that attends this service by presenting an identity card, you can borrow two books with a term of 15 days for their return.
The bookmobile service also includes the possibility of requesting a book that is not available at that moment and which will be delivered the following week from the Regional Library's fund.
The municipal library coordinator, Toni Diaz recalled that the library is a very important reinforcement to the summer program of the library of San Javier that includes the "readings chiringuiteras", which makes available to the public free books in the beach bars, and others incentives such as the book market or storytelling, book presentations and contests that encourage reading during the summer.
