The veteran band of blues from Murcia Bluesfalos stars in the second open concert that Jazz San Javier takes to the Barnuevo esplanade, in Santiago de la Ribera.
Founded in 1987, the band, led by Manuel Gómez Mateos "Slim Gómez", who continues to lead the group, was a pioneer in the blues composed and singing entirely in Spanish, which in their long musical life has distinguished them from the rest of the groups of national blues and won the respect and admiration of thousands of followers, not only in our country.
For the magazine "Living Blues" published by the University of Mississippi, Los Bluesfalos is "the main bastion of blues in Spanish", with mythical songs like "Put me another whiskey, tomorrow I'll pay for it", "My guitar and the blues", "Magic" or "Rosa Mari", among many others.
The group has gone through different phases from its golden age in the late 80s and early 90s, although each return to the stage in these more than 30 years of existence is a new demonstration of strength.
His more than 2000 concerts and an undeniable sense of the show make his live shows a captivating spectacle for the public from the first minute, as demonstrated in the concert they offered in 2010 at the XIII Festival.
Willing to repeat a memorable concert and put the public to dance in the Barnuevo esplanade with the rhythm'n'blues and the blues as a flag, the great Manuel "Slim Gómez", composer, guitarist and singer, leader of the group will appear on stage composed by Carlos Turbina on saxophones, Francisco Herraiz on bass, Fiti Espejo on drums and Abel Silva on Hammond organ and harmonica.
