The Councilor for Public Safety, Teresa Foncuberta, the Local Police Chief of San Javier, Salvador Angosto and the General Director of Emergencies, José Ramón Carrasco, presented this morning at the Security Center of San Javier, 20 new communication teams that join at the service of the Local Police of San Javier, integrated into the emergency network of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia "with the aim of improving the safety of our citizens," said the mayor Teresa Foncuberta.
The head of the Local Police of San Javier, Salvador Angosto, highlighted the special utility of these equipment, which is added to another 20 with which the San Javier Police already counts, "especially when it comes to communicating an emergency, claiming supports or health care with the assurance that there will be no failure in the transmission. "
This type of equipment, which uses Tetra technology, already proved useful during the Lorca earthquake, being the only system that remained standing when the rest of communications failed, recalled the general director José Ramón Carrasco, who highlighted the effort of the San Javier City Council for investing in technology that improves the security of the population.
The Department of Security has invested 10,000 euros in the purchase of these new 20 teams that are added to another 20 that it acquired before while the General Directorate of Emergencies deals with the licenses that put them into operation within the regional emergency network that has 20 base stations and more than 2000 connected equipment, according to the general director of Emergencies, José Ramón Carrasco.
