The Faculty of Sports Sciences and the City of San Javier are still committed to the Dance as a new degree to teach at the Campus of San Javier, and in this line was held for the second consecutive year the II International Conference The Dance and the Sea , within the offer of the Universidad Internacional del Mar, from July 18 to 22.
Teaching staff with international training and experience taught classes in different subjects and styles, working Dance from its origins in the evolution of man to reach the educational, therapeutic, social and recreational values ​​that it acquires today.
The students, who formed a heterogeneous group, worked on thematic units such as Danzas del Mundo, Psychology applied to Dance, Contemporary Dance, American Musical, Percussion, Introduction to Flamenco Dance and Modern Dance.
Leading the Conference were the Doctor and Professor of the Faculty of Sport Sciences of San Javier, Elena Conesa, and the Doctor in Flamenco Dance and Professor of the Dance Conservatory, dancer and soloist of the Carmen and Matilde Rubio Company, Estefanía Brao Martin.
The Councilor for Education Catalina Pérez and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Arturo Díaz attended the closing of the Conference and delivered diplomas to the students after a final round table with guests from different fields related to Dance.
