Luis Salinas is one of the talisman artists for San Javier since his remembered participation in the first edition of the Festival, where he returned to collect the Award of the tenth edition, without forgetting his presence in the series "Músicas del Alma" where he recorded a DVD, "Luis Salinas Live in San Javier".
Luis Salinas, one of the best guitarists in the world, who is characterized by his power of improvisation and his interpretative capacity, has transmitted to his son the fascination for the guitar, an instrument that has no secrets for the Salinas that recorded for the first time together in "El Tren" (2016) the last album by Luis Salinas, a monumental work composed of 5 CDs, which earned him a second Latin Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Instrumental Album.
This self-taught and virtuoso musician, "crazy and genial" as defined by the Brazilian guitarist Baden Powell, is a master of both classical and electric guitar and a prominent Latin Jazz musician and popular music of his country.
With more than 20 discs published, Luis Salinas, who started with Tommy Li Puma as a producer, has played with greats such as BBKing, George Benson, who has made public his admiration for the Argentine, Dave Holland, or Paco de Lucía, among others.
In Spain he recorded "Luis Salinas y amigos en España" (1994) with musicians such as Tomatito, Horacio Fumero, Javier Colina, Jorge Bonell, Jorge Pardo and Perico Sambeat.
