This Monday, the president and the general director of Caja Rural Regional, Juan Andrés Jiménez and José González, respectively, accompanied by the president of Caja Rural Central, Manuel Ruiz, have handed over to Francisco García, president of Aidemar, the check with the amount collected in the solidarity bicycle held on the occasion of the stage of the cycling tour to Spain that ended in San Javier on August 30.
Caja Rural Regional and Caja Rural Central have donated 3 euros for each kilometer pedaled by volunteers and registered in solidarity bicycles during that day, thus converting the 580 kilometers to 1,740 €, which Aidemar will allocate to its important social work.
Aidemar is an association that works on the integration of disabled people, mainly in the Mar Menor region.
The delivery ceremony took place in the residential homes that Aidemar has in San Javier.
In them live people with disabilities who use them as their usual home, their home, carrying out the normal activities that anyone does at home.
Thanks to the work of the volunteers who are part of the association, their attention is guaranteed when their parents or guardians can not take care of them.
This action is part of a global initiative of the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA cycling team that during the last six years has developed solidarity actions during the tour of the Tour of Spain, for the benefit of different charities, raising over 168,000 euros, thanks to the contributions of the different rural banks.
