The bidding process of the works to improve road safety and urban adaptation of the new Miguel Ángel Blanco avenue of San Javier, old road of Sucina (RM-301) is open.
This action has a budget of 1.1 million euros, of which the regional government allocates more than 643,000 euros.
The comprehensive urban adaptation of the avenue has a triple purpose: the mobility of drivers who use this road, which records more than two million journeys a year, that of pedestrians and the accessibility of the residents of San Javier.
Communications from San Javier will also be improved with high-capacity roads AP-7 (Mediterranean Highway) and RM-1 (Zeneta-San Javier), as well as access to the industrial estates of the municipality, where 1,700 people work.
The works include the construction of a new roundabout that improves access to industrial estates and the adaptation of the existing roundabout linking the municipality with the AP-7 motorway and the RM-1 highway.
The capacity of the road will be extended by providing it with two lanes in the section with the most traffic, the road will be renewed and a new rainwater evacuation system will be installed to avoid flooding in the event of heavy rains.
The work will be completed with the construction of a pedestrian walkway on both sides of the road.
The execution period is 5 months.
The deadline for submission of bids ends on December 18, after which they will be analyzed for adjudication and start of works.
