The CEIP "El Recuerdo" of San Javier has gone from 60 to 100 diners with the recent opening of the kitchen installed by the City of San Javier that has invested more than 24,000 euros in the purchase and commissioning of the necessary infrastructure to give a better school dining service, as recalled today by Mayor José Miguel Luengo who visited the facilities accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Catalina Pérez.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo pointed out that this investment meets the demand of the association of parents of students and the management of the center to replace the cold kitchen line that worked since 2014 for its own kitchen, where a cook, helped by an assistant, makes a hot menu every day for 100 students served from 2 pm to 4 pm by five kitchen monitors.
Luengo pointed out that "although it is not a municipal competition, it is a good investment, which we also made a few months ago at CEIP El Mirador to improve a service that reverts to the smallest and a large number of families in the municipality".
The mayor, who was received by the director of the school, María Dolores Griñán and representatives of the AMPA of the center shared with them and the students, the menu of the day composed of lentils with vegetables, salad and fruit.
