The City Council of San Javier continues to support the Association of Friends and Family of Alzheimer's patients in Cartagena and Region, AFAL, by renewing a collaboration agreement between both institutions whose purpose is to improve the quality of life of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's, in the municipality.
The agreement signed by Mayor José Miguel Luengo and the president of AFAL Cartagena y Comarca, María José Regueiro, is the municipal contribution of 2,500 euros for actions and activities aimed at psychosocial treatment and care for patients and caregivers that the association It takes place at its headquarters in Santiago de la Ribera in a place loaned by the City of San Javier.
The headquarters of AFAL, located on the first floor of the Municipal Center for the Elderly, in Santiago de la Ribera, offers physiotherapy and cognitive and physical stimulation services, as well as counseling for families affected by the disease, with attention to both headquarters as home.
