A group of 31 French students participating in a linguistic and cultural exchange with IES students "Mar Menor" visited the City of San Javier today where they were received by the mayor José Miguel Luengo, the councilor for Tourism, Antonio Martínez and the mayor of Treasury, Carlos Albaladejo.
The students, between 16 and 17 years old, who belong to the Lycée Germaine Tillion, from the city of Castelnaudary, in the south of the country, return the visit to the students of the IES "Mar Menor" who have already traveled to France and who now they welcome them in their homes.
From January 11 to 19, they will take the opportunity to practice their Spanish, and make a busy schedule of local and regional visits.
The students, who arrived accompanied by three French teachers, and the head of the French department, at the IES "Mar Menor", Esperanza Ruiz, coordinator of the exchange program, will take advantage of the proximity of the cities of Orihuela and Elche, to follow the steps of the poet Miguel Hernández, on whom they have worked in France.
