The Carnival of Santiago de la Ribera 2019 heats up and takes to the street the poster announcing this edition that was the work of the young woman of San Javier, Beatriz Yepes after winning the national contest convened by the carnival commission, with a design based in pen and color, awarded 300 euros.
The councilman of Celebrations, Pedro Lopez and the pedáneo mayoress of Santiago de la Ribera, Julia Gallut, accompanied by representatives of the carnival commission, were in charge of unveiling the poster of an edition that will start on February 23 with the festive prologue of the Fried Egg Dinner, in which the confrontation between Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma is staged, which goes from San Javier, where it was celebrated until now, to Santiago de la Ribera.
In the same act, which convened the great family of the Carnival of Santiago de la Ribera was held the draw of order in which appear the six muses that are presented this year at the gala of election of Queen of Carnival, hallmark of the Riparian carnival, which will take place on March 2.
The performances of muses will begin with "Los que faltaban" followed by "Olé-Olá", "Aire", "Makulele", "Brasilia" and "Río".
On Sunday, March 3, the children's Queen will be chosen, by lottery, among the muses of "Los que faltaban", "Olé-Olá", "Aire", "Makulele", "Brasilia", "Río" and "Akelarre" .
The carnival program will be developed in the following days, with the associations, children's parties, the canine carnival, the chirigotas contest and the great carnival parade that will close on March 10.
The occasion also served to present the carnival mascot of Santiago de la Ribera, the seahorse 2019, designed by Cuco Navarro and Antonio Jesús Ros.
