The Municipal School of Family and the Library of San Javier has presented today an intergenerational storytelling program for which they have had the collaboration of the Community Development Project in Los Pozuelos, promoted by the Department of Social Services and Project Abraham.
With the stories as protagonists, the program of activities takes place from January to May, touring different districts of the municipality with the aim of creating an intergenerational space in which adults and children learn to transmit stories and learn from them.
The social educator of the School of Family, Julia Meroño, the coordinator of libraries, Toni Díaz and the social educator of Project Abraham, Lola Andreu presented this morning the initiative, that has been denominated "Of trip by the municipality after the stories", and that it tries to reunite to all the generations of the family with a program that goes from January to May.
The first appointment will be next Thursday, January 31 at the Child Care Center, El Mirador, from 18 to 18:30 for children of all ages with "Date Cuento", a series of storytellers that will work equality, gender violence, child abuse and coexistence.
The same activity will be held at the Child Care Center of Santiago de la Ribera on February 14, from 18 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
On February 4, the "Ecocuentos moved" will arrive, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, at the Ecoparque de Santiago de la Ribera for children from 6 to 11 years old, with which topics related to ecology will be worked on through dramatized stories.
On March 4 will address how to build stories with a creative writing workshop through the game for all ages, in the library of Santiago de la Ribera.
There will also be a puppet and story workshop on March 14 at the civic center of La Grajuela and on May 9 in Santiago de la Ribera.
Likewise, social inclusion will be addressed with "Métete en el cuento", on March 28 in Pozo Aledo and on April 11 in Roda.
