Citizens have managed to see their proposal approved for the elaboration of a regulation that regulates the use of the so-called Personal Mobility Vehicles (VMP) in San Javier.
The orange motion went ahead despite the abstention of the PP, a party that supports the government team.
"We want to modify and modernize our Circulation Ordinance to include everything related to the use and circulation of these vehicles, especially when we are talking about a tourist town in which we have already had presence of them through rental companies linked to the sector ", highlighted the local orange spokesman, Antonio Murcia.
The spokesman for Citizens has stressed the "need" of this regulation, because while the VMP are still in legal limbo, "there have been more than 300 accidents during the past year, and there are already regulations on their use approved in Madrid and Barcelona and in preparation in most of the municipalities ".
