The investment amounts to 159,000 euros and the execution period is four months
The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has awarded the road strengthening works and improved road safety of the regional highway RM-F35, which connects Cartagena with the municipality of San Javier, for an amount of 159,390 euros.
The term of execution of the work is four months and its purpose is to increase the safety and comfort of drivers who travel this way, amounting to a daily average of 5,130 vehicles, of which 369 are heavy.
This road starts from Cartagena, runs through the industrial estate Cabezo Beaza and La Aparecida, La Puebla, Roda Golf and Dolores to San Javier.
The action is part of the conservation planning of the road network of the Region of Murcia, integrated by more than 3,000 kilometers.
The main works will focus on the sane and reinforcement of the road surface to improve the characteristics of the road.
In this same line, the blandones will be eliminated and the vertical and horizontal signaling of the road will be renewed.
Also, the visibility and drainage of the road will be improved thanks to the lining of the gutters with concrete with a double objective, on the one hand, to avoid the accumulation of water in the drainage system and the possible overflow towards the road, which may affect the driving of vehicles and, on the other hand, the appearance of herbs and weeds on the margins of the road.
The action also includes the repair of the existing metal railing of the Torreciega bridge by rust cleaning and the application of anticorrosive primer and colored enamel.
