Local Police officers in San Javier receive updated training on "Basic RCP and Torniquete management" taught by José María Cegarra and Macarena Pérez, two Civil Protection technicians from San Javier, experts in security and emergency personnel training.
With this course the agents acquire the necessary knowledge to detect a person in cardiorespiratory arrest, the procedure to be followed and how to develop basic CPR maneuvers, both in adults and in children.
They have also received instructions on types and mode of use of external semiautomatic defibrillators, how to act when choking, both in adults and infants, and to perform a tourniquet safely.
The agents carry out this type of courses with the general objective of improving their qualification at the time of any intervention with tools that allow to minimize serious consequences in certain incidents, and if necessary, save lives.
