The company Theater of the Slaughterhouse, of Murcia hoarded last night most of the awards of the III Amateur Theater Contest "Francisco Rubio" of San Javier to receive the Best Work Award, worth 2000 euros and Best Director, Manolo Ortín, with 800 euros, for the "Landó de seis caballos".
Also, its main actor, José Ardid, received the highest recognition for his interpretation of Florencio.
The rest of the trophies that recognize the best performances seen in the Contest were for Mila Estepa for her role as Olivia in "Olivia y Ana".
The Best Supporting Actor was Pablo Martínez for his portrayal of Sosias in "Anfitrión" while Lorena Hernández received the award for Best Supporting Actress for his role as Laura in "El unicornio roto."
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the councilman of Culture, David Martinez presided over the awards ceremony in an act, held yesterday afternoon at the theater of the center "Prince of Asturias", which claimed love for the theater and the origins of the current International Festival of Theater, Music and Dance of San Javier, created 50 years ago by a group of young amateur actors in the town, led by Francisco Rubio, who gives the name to the Contest.

Maribel Zapata was one of the actresses of the legendary group "Oscar 69" germ of the current Festival that was born as an amateur contest 50 years ago.
Maribel Zapata participated in numerous shows of "Oscar 69" and after the disappearance of the group returned a few years later to the theater with the San Javier Theater Group, heir of that "Oscar 69", with which he continues active accumulating characters from the " Madame Verdú "with which it premiered in 1969.

After the ceremony of awards and recognition of the contest, the audience that filled the room could see one of the recent premieres in Matadero Madrid "BEATG.Un beat different" by Mario Hernandez with design and scenic space of the ribereña settled in Madrid, Isis de Coura, with which the third edition of the Contest was closed.
