The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez and the director of the choir Stella Maris Björk, Inmaculada García have presented the Choral Concert to be held on Saturday June 8 at 8:30 p.m. in the church of San Francisco Javier with the participation of the host choir and the Coral Sei Cantare, from Alcorcón, Madrid.
Inmaculada García explained that this is an exchange between choirs, so the invited group will perform eight pieces with a varied repertoire ranging from medieval to habaneras, led by Professor Simón Dragó and Gonzalo Benítez, who is also a tenor of the group.
The Stella Maris Björk choir will perform four pieces, among which will include a black spiritual, and others as "Love me tender" by Elvis Presley.
The concert will end with a piece performed by both groups.
The Sei Cantare mixed choir, formed in 2001, is made up of 16 choirs that perform a repertoire of popular and popular music from the Renaissance to the present.
Among his performances is a charity concert, together with the Philharmonic Orchestra Ciudad de Alcorcón, in which he performed Charpentier's Te Deum and Mozart's Coronation Mass.
Councilman David Martinez highlighted the tradition and cultural value of this Meeting, organized by the Stella Maris Björk Choir, of San Javier and the Department of Culture, "which gives us the opportunity to enjoy choral music within the framework of the San Francisco Javier ".
Along with the director of the choir, Inmaculada García, invited the audience to attend the concert, which will have an hour and free access.
