The Councilor for Health, Isidoro Miñano thanked the delegation in San Javier of the Spanish Association Against Cancer for the activity it carries out in both preventive and care for people affected by the disease.
Antonio Cerezuela, president in San Javier of the AECC, recalled that with this initiative, mammography that, after 50 years of age, carries out Social Security in five years, emphasizing the importance of prevention and early detection in cancer.
Cerezuela recalled that from the headquarters of the association, in Archena Street, San Javier, are also offered other assistance and care services ranging from a social worker and a psychologist, to a Pilates workshop for people who have had cancer in the last five years.
At present, a home assistance service is being set up for people who can not go to the headquarters.
