The suspension of the planned activities in the public educational centers of the Autonomous Community for tomorrow, Friday, September 13, due to the predictable worsening of the weather situation in the Region of Murcia, extends to all the educational, sports and social centers of the municipality of San Javier, in order to avoid unnecessary displacement and risks.
In the municipality of San Javier there have been no notable incidents due to rains since the entry into force of the red alert until now, although according to the AEMET forecasts, an aggravation of the situation due to heavy rains is expected since 19h this afternoon with special incidence in the early hours of Friday morning.
The AEMET maintains the red alert level until 05h when it will turn orange.
In the municipality, the Municipal Emergency Plan is activated, which keeps all municipal resources on alert to facilitate their mobilization if necessary.
In recent days, municipal services have been responsible for cleaning grilles, scuppers and public spaces with special attention in more vulnerable areas where sandbags have been placed in the last hours to redirect water.
Among the preventive measures implemented by the Municipal Emergency Plan is the authorization of public spaces that in this case will be the civic center of San Javier and the pavilions of the San Javier Sports Center, as well as El Mirador and La Manga del Mar Minor in case evacuation of people is necessary at some time.
