The plenary session of the City Council of San Javier has begun today with a minute of silence for the death of AGA commander Daniel Melero and his student, Alferez Rosa María Melero in the plane crash that occurred yesterday in front of the beach of Santiago de la Ribera.
The Plenary, which coincided today with the day of mourning declared in the municipality by the incident, has adhered to the administrative aspects of the agenda postponing the political debate for the next ordinary session in October, as previously agreed by the spokespersons of the different municipal political groups.
Among the issues approved today by the Plenary, which had been postponed by the red meteorological alert last week, is the creation of a municipal traveling trade commission and its operating regulations.
The Councilor for Commerce, Héctor Verdú explained that the objective of the commission, in which all municipal political groups are represented, will be to advise on matters related to the markets and street sales in all its modalities.
The Commission will exercise its functions with organic autonomy to guarantee its independence and objectivity and its opinions will be prescriptive and not binding.
All the groups voted in favor of the creation of the Commission that is contemplated in the new Ordinance that regulates the street sale in the municipality, in force since April 2019.
The Plenary, who took notice of the resignation of the Councilor for Citizens-C's María José García Méndez, current general director of Women and Gender Diversity, unanimously approved the revision of the contract price for the management of the services of street cleaning and collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of household waste in the municipality of San Javier tal.
The Councilor for Contracting, Ana Belén Martínez explained that the revision of the price that is contemplated in clause 5 of the contract, signed in 2014, establishes an annual review of 85% of the variation in the CPI published by the INE.
In this way, the annual price, from December 2018 to December 2019, is set at 5,111,395.36 euros, so an expense of 45,745.92 euros was approved for its payment, in concept of arrears to the company Promotion de Construcciones y Contratas SA, service concessionaire.
Similarly, unanimously approved an expense of 59,618.83 for its payment to the company, for the same concepts, corresponding to the periods from December 2016 to November 2017 and December 2017 to November 2018.
The Plenary, which unanimously approved the General Account of the City Council for the year 2018, and an extrajudicial file of credit for a total amount of 9,059.13, approved with the vote in favor of the popular group and the abstention of the other groups, left on the table a motion presented by the VOX group, against the Statute of Autonomy of the Region of Murcia, at the request of its spokesman in order to avoid political debate in today's session marked by the day of official mourning.
