The Department of Culture of San Javier offers more than 300 places in its theater, dance and painting workshops whose classes begin on October 1.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez stressed the importance of these workshops to promote grassroots culture and training in scenic and artistic disciplines in children, young and old during the presentation of the beginning of the course accompanied by the monitors who lead the workshops in the that have already occupied more than 80 percent of the available places.
Judith Arteaga, theater instructor advanced that this course will work especially body expression and performance among the youngest and the microteatro with the elderly.
The theater workshop has a group of children, young and old in addition to working with the theater group of El Mirador.
Dance teacher, Lola Martínez recalled the importance of classical dance in the municipal workshop although other more modern styles are also addressed in groups formed by ages from three years.
The students of the painting workshop will work this year especially the abstract painting and the portrait in groups in San Javier from the age of seven and in El Mirador from the age of three, recalled Professor Remedios Ruiz who also advanced some masterclass and cultural outings.
David Martínez highlighted the interrelation between the workshops and with other municipal institutions such as the Conservatory of Music and the San Javier Band with which the dance workshop prepares a joint show to be presented in Murcia.
The theater workshop will also collaborate with the Dance School of the municipal sports center in a performance.
Martínez also indicated the opening of the workshops to society with exhibitions, charity events and other actions that take place throughout the year.
Registrations, which remain open throughout the year according to the provision of places available in each workshop, are made at the Department of Culture, located on the second floor of the City of San Javier.
