The San Javier library has doubled its reading or study points with 200 newly created posts that total a total of 450 distributed in all sections of the building that has undergone various improvement works with a total investment of 110,000 euros.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, who visited the center accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez highlighted the improvement of conditions for the more than 350 users who receive the library daily, with the value of the first floor of the building that has been equipped with study tables, chairs and shelves of new acquisition.
The acquisition of new furniture and the expansion of reading posts adds to other improvement actions such as the renovation of paint throughout the building and the provision of translucent blinds in the windows that surround it to dampen the entry of sun, as well as a Bebeteca for the little ones, a cafeteria area and a security arch in the door to avoid the theft of books.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo showed the municipal commitment to the progressive improvement of a municipal facility as important as the library that must offer the ideal conditions of use for both the numerous users that it receives daily and to house the intense activity that it maintains throughout the year .
A stage for the auditorium, which opens a new projector and opaque blinds that facilitate the use of the glazed room, as well as the renovation of the furniture of the different group study rooms are some of the improvements that are projected for an upcoming municipal investment in the middle.
