The 50th International Festival of Theater, Music and Dance of San Javier last night received the prize “Palomas del Turismo 2019” granted by the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Murcia with which it recognizes the work of entities and personalities in the tourism promotion of the Murcia region.
The Councilor for Culture and director of the Festival, David Martínez, who received the Prize last night at the gala held at the Nelva hotel in Murcia, thanked the UMU School of Tourism for the recognition given to the Festival with this award and claimed the role of tourist engine that exerts culture.
David Martínez also had words of thanks to all those who throughout the history of the Festival have contributed to the half-century life that this year celebrates this year and on behalf of the City of San Javier promised to continue working on the promotion of the culture as a means of thrilling the public and as an attraction in the economic and tourism development of the municipality and the Region of Murcia.
Together with the San Javier Festival, they received the Palomas del Turismo 2019 Award, the International Airport of the Region of Murcia and the European Information Center of the Region of Murcia.
